Dallas Baby Shower

I had my second baby shower on Saturday, March 25, 2006 at Celebrity Bakery in Dallas. It was so fun seeing everyone and show everyone my belly.

The food was so good and Travis & I got some wonderful gifts for Jacob Dale.

All the tables had these cute baskets for center pieces that were stuffed trucks, animals, cars, and they made sounds. Then they were filled with fun toys for Jake and things boys like.

As guests arrived this was the main table. It had my scrap book that I have been doing for Jacob, and everyone signed in and wrote a message to go in the scrap book. Then everyone wrote Travis and I a message on cloth diapers. And the cake in the back is made with diaper cloths and has little socks, bath tub crayons, baby spoons, pacifiers, and a sippy cup as the topper. SO CUTE!!!!!

Baby Food Guessing Game

I had to guess what baby food I was tasting.

They were all gross and I only got one partly right.

The first one was peaches, it didn't taste too bad I guess.The second one was Apples & Blueberries, but all I could guess was apples.

This one was Macaroni & Cheese with Beef- YUCK!

And the last one was Veal, it was the worst! Poor babies who have to eat this stuff all the time.

Peeping Tom Cat~

Our cat is a "Peeping Tom", she loves to sit on the chair and stair out at the birds. It's so funny to us. She will just sit there and watch, look back at us (probably to see if we are eating anything), and then go back to checking for birds.

The Beggar

We always let Phoenix lick our plate or bowl when we are done eating. We know we shouldn't but we like to share with her. She is so cute and sits so pretty. But lately she is getting a little more pushy. Last night Travis got ice cream and Phoenix was front and center. Here is the play by play action of our little darling.

She watches your hand move from the food to your mouth the whole time!
Then she gets all "lovey dovey" and rubs up against you or the bowl in this case.

This is the ONLY time she does this, when food is involved.

Then she starts reaching for your hand, either to stop you from taking it to your mouth or to remind you with a gentle tap that she wants what you have.
So, we let her taste a little, she looks so cute we just have to share.
Oh, she likes it. Big surprise!
Now she is getting a little more aggressive and wants more than a lick.
So, we let her lick the bowl.

And so, as you can see, we have created a monster that we think is the cutest bugger ever. Don't worry, we will be more disciplined with Jake...I hope so at least!

25 weeks

25 Weeks!

This is my favorite out fit. Travis gave it to me for Christmas and out of every thing he gave me this is my favorite! I LOVE it! It's so comfortable. What's funny is I wear it ALL THE TIME!!! Travis just laughs every time he sees me in it because it's all I wear. Saturday for example, I wore it to breakfast, spilled maple syrup on it, got home and washed it and was wearing it again all day Sunday and yesterday. It's a good thing I only have one, b/c I would never wear anything else ever. :)

Plus, what else is cute is I have heard women remark when I walk by to the person they are with, "Oh look, her shirt lets people know she is having a baby." hehe!
