More Standing

Jacob is still pulling himself up a lot. Sometimes he will just hold onto a toy and then stand up- his legs are so busy wanting to do more. It's really cute to watch him move around a lot and try really hard and then crash in our laps because he is so tired.
He has got the sippy cup down. I was wondering if he was getting any and then he threw up a ton of water. I guess he got more than I thought.
He liked squash- tonight he is moving onto peas.

There is the tongue as usual.

There it is again-
Watching him with the sun glasses was funny.

Very cool Buddy!

He Pulled Himself Up!!!

I can't believe he is already pulling himself up to a standing position! He did it for the first time the other day in his bedroom-of course when my camera was no where near me, and then he did it again today. Here is the play by play action...

(I love this face, it reminds me of one of Trav's baby pictures. He sometimes makes a humming sound too- SO cute!)

LOOK AT THAT!!!!!!!!!!!! He is only holding on with one hand, the other is off of the wagon!
6 months and 15 days old!!!!!

And there's the tongue again- he loves sticking out his tongue.

Oh...so wonderful! Now he is crawling over to me because I was cheering so loud for him. What a good little man.

Happy boy

Jacob is so funny with his tongue! It seems like every time I look at him he is sticking his tongue out. It makes me laugh every time. Here he is tickled that I am laughing at him. He is SO much fun!

Saturday

Phoenix loves to sit under the kick and crawl. Like most of Jake's toys she thinks we put it there for her, so she gets annoyed when Jacob chases her out of it. Saturday she actually stayed in there with him, her back to him of course, but when he touched her she stormed off.
Saturday night we hung out with Matt, Maia, and Jedyn- Maia was a trooper to hang out after just having her wisdom teeth pulled the day before. Jacob and Jedyn are always so happy to see each other.
They both kept reaching out to grab each other. Poor Jacob had a diaper blow out and all I had in his bag was a shortsleeve onesie and pants- no socks! Thankfully the restaurant wasn't cold.
Jacob has discovered that he has a tongue! He is always sticking it out now- it is so cute.
He also loves water. We pick some up with the straw and give it to him and he loves it. But looking at his shirt I think he had more fun spitting it back out.

Kick and Crawl

It's time to make the Kick and Crawl into a tunnel for the"crawl" part.
Here he goes...
He liked looking at me through the window.

Very Fun!

His Favorite Place to Go

Whenever Jacob is playing on the floor it isn't long before he is trying to go under the table. We usually stop him because he bumps his head, but today I let him venture in and he loved it. He did a good job not bumping his head too.
He got all excited when I called to him and he started crawling faster because he knew I was going to get him. He is so funny.

Little stinker

I am now sick and feeling terrible. Jacob is so good though. He has been very easy for me, plus he is getting over feeling sick too. He is just crawling around and being good. He even saw his pacifier on the ground and was able to get it back in his mouth. He is so smart! He loves his jumpy seat too- he really gets going in it now. Phoenix, however, is into everthing! She got into my gum and was able to get two peices out. I threw them away but they were a little chewed on. Look at the box too. I guess she really thought she had bad breath. You can see the wrapper in the top corner.
She is a little stinker!

6 Month Check Up and Dinner

Jacob had his 6 month check up today. Our guy weighed 18.7 pounds (50%) and is 27 inches (75%) and his head measured 17 and a half (75%). He had to get 3 shots which made him sad and then really mad. Daddy had the day off so he was able to go too. Because he dropped in his percentiles the doctor said to go ahead and start food even though he had said earlier to wait because he is still getting over being sick. He said he wasn't worried that Jake wasn't getting enough to eat, he is obviously growing, but... just to be sure.
I have to brag too, when we told him that Jacob was able to go from his tummy to a sitting up position on his own he said that was "impressive"! He told us to start cereal tonight which surprised me because I know you are supossed to start it in the mornings so you can watch for a reaction, but that's what we did. Plus Jake was up for a few hours after he ate and was doing fine, crawling around trying to catch Phoenix.
He has no signs of teething, they "aren't even close" to be exact. But Trav's mom said her babies were very slow in getting teeth so Jacob is probably copying daddy. He also said Jacob is at the age where he can now have water so we put some in a cup for him. I had to help him and he didn't get a lot, but the sips he did get he seemed to like.
We had our video camera out to capture Jacob eating cereal and he did great. He didn't make any faces like we expected. He was a natural. It was like he had been eating cereal for weeks.

Phoenix is front and center in case Jacob wants to share. She's anyones best friend when it comes to food. Jacob liked that.
After a while he had a coughing fit-part of his recovery from croup has been a lovely cough, and that made him choke up and turn red- scared me of course. We gave him some water to help but he didn't act to interested in eating after it. Then the funny faces came out.

Poor guy, we will see how he does tomorrow!

He's Crawling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jacob is officially crawling! 6 months and 2 days...he started last night and we wore him out making him crawl everywhere. So today we are going to put all the outlit plug covers in. Here are pics of him crawling-they are not as exciting as the video, but you get the idea.
