Standing Up

Jacob is so funny! He has started making these frowning faces and they crack me up. I have not been able to get a picture of it yet but I will keep trying. In the mean time he is walking everywhere. He has now realized that he can get where he needs to go faster if he walks. I finally got a good video of him standing up from the ground and walking to me, instead of just filming him and waiting for it to happen.

Our Weekend

Saturday night we got some cute videos of Jacob. He is waking so great! He can stand up from the floor all by himself, and he can turn around and round corners. He is doing so great. (video) Playing legos with Daddy. (Video)

Jacob got wedged in a tight spot and Travis had to rescue him out. Then he did it again! I think these pictures are so pitiful and funny.

He hasn't gone back in again.

Monday-

Phoenix, the little stinker, was hanging out on the other side of the gate when Jacob really wanted to be near her. He stood at the gate and fussed. Look at that sad face! We bribed her back over to stay with a milk tie.

I love how Jacob can play contently by himself- he looks so cute playing with his legos.

I think he likes the mess they make more than anything else.

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day Daddy! Jacob (and Phoenix) love you so much!!! Jacob is Daddy's biggest fan! Everything Daddy does is so funny and clever-

He does the funniest things, like playing with his wedding ring makes Jacob crack up. (video)

I am so thankful for such a wonderful Daddy for my babies! For lunch we went to P. F. Changs-

We take our portable dvd player for when the meals come if Jacob is not in the mood to sit or be quiet. He is so cute! We let him watch one Baby Einstein a day and he cherishes every second of it.

He dropped his pacy and I though it was funny how he had to have something in his mouth while he watched his video.

Stunt Baby

This is a fun thing I have done for years with kids and I started doing it with Jacob a few months ago. I keep forgetting to get pictures of it though because most of the time when we practice it's during the day when nobody is around to take the picture. He caught on fast. All he has to do is balance and I do the rest. First we get him sitting upright on my shins. I get a firm grip on his feet to help me hold on to him.

Then I prop my feet on his bottom.

The bulk of his weight is in my foot and I hold his feet for extra support. Jacob just smiles down at me. When I lower him down he always leans forward for a hug. It's so easy and every kid I have ever done it with loves it.

Play date

Jedyn came over to play yesterday-

In all of these pictures it looks like they played well together, but really they didn't. Jacob was a bit of a bully. Jedyn wanted to then be held a lot and Jacob didn't want me holding anyone other than him. It was funny.

Yay Spurs!

Last night the San Antonio Spurs won the NBA Championship- making Daddy very happy. Jacob was in his Spurs gear ready to cheer them on. Also, Jacob loves to read. He loves to have us read to him and he will sit on the floor and look at his books like he is reading them himself. It's so cute.

New Cell Phone

Jacob loves to play with my cell phone. He ended up braking it by slobbering it to death- the 9 and the * key wouldn't work anymore. So if I needed to call 911 or lock the keys I couldn't. So I got a new one that he is not allowed near and he has a old toy. Look how well he is standing-

11 Months

Jacob turned 11 months on Sunday- I can't believe in one more month he will be a year old!!! He loves his Darby dog! He goes over and hugs him and rolls around on him. It's so fun to watch.

He is very busy- into everything! He is very good at keeping himself busy, he doesn't need Travis and I to always be playing with him. He loves his book and his Baby Einstein videos. His personality is so much like Travis that it's fun. Plus he is walking better all the time.

We took him swimming at our friends house yesterday and he loved it!!

Like me, he seems to have no fear of the water. He kept getting his face wet and we even dunked him and he did great! He kept wanting to get away from us and go out on his own, of course he doesn't understand that if we let him go like he would have liked that he would go under.

Also- Monday (today) is our 3 year wedding anniversary!!!

This Week-

Earlier this week we went up and had lunch with daddy, Jacob wore his new clothes.

Then today he was walking really well- here are two videos of him. The first is really short but in the second one he is walking to Darby his big dog.
