Halloween 2011

And it's finally Halloween night! So much build up and this year it delivered! Our Halloween Night 2011 is in two parts. Part one was with our friends the Bittner Family (Evan, Kallie, & Bryce) who invited us to their Halloween block party. So much fun! Jacob wore his fourth costume for this year: Mr. Incredible, and Paige and Eli were the same old Rapunzel and Puppy Dog.We also met up with the Dombroski family- Tennasyn and Cole and their neighbor Charlie.It was really fun- they block off a culdesac and have a bounce house and all the residents sit out on the front and pass out the candy to the kids. Here they are after going all the way around. They all sat perfectly for a treat.Then Part two of our Halloween night happened after we left our friends block party and we got home for trick or treating in our neighborhood. Paige loves to be with the girls (Jessie and her friends)-And we changed into our final costumes for the night/year- The Evil Emperor Zurg, Buzz Lightyear, and Rapunzel.We met up with friends who live behind us- Collin and Jacob are in the same class at school and Lydia and Paige are the same age as well. They were the Tin Man and Glenda the Good witch of the North.Eli was a pro at treating-Jacob was so good- with every house that gave him candy he didn't recognize he would come out holding it asking if it had peanut butter before he put it in his bucket. He is doing so good about being more aware of his allergy.We also bumped into another class mate of the boys- John.Eli was sooo good all night long.Great family pic too! That always makes me happy.We got back to our house to greet our guest trick or treaters and have some candy.Such a wonderful Halloween this year- great weather, everyone was healthy, and we saw lots of friends- It doesn't get better than that!!

Aunt Gigi's Birthday

Today is also Aunt Gigi's 28th Birthday. She came by and we got some silly fun time with her on her special day.Happy Birthday, Sis! Love you. :)

Trick or Treating at Mimi's

Halloween day is here... we are drawing out the Halloween fun as much as possible. I took Jacob out of school at 9:30 and we went to Mimi's to trick or treat. The kids were very excited to show her their costumes. Jacob is in his 3rd out fit for this year-(see why I wouldn't buy him one- he has plenty to choose from) Woody with Bullseye!!!! The couple at the end of the hall watched the kids the whole way down the hall- everyone loved seeing the kids. They don't get trick-or-treaters at a senior retirement center. Walking to Mimi's door...."TRICK OR TREAT, Mimi! Happy Halloween!!" they shouted.Mimi took the kids to two of her friends homes and so they could trick or treat for them. So fun!Betty had animal crackers--that makes her a "cool house" for trick or treating.She was admiring Jacob's horse-All done- Eli took a ride on Mimi's walker- a seat the kids fight over, they all love their turn!Mimi lives by Daddy's office so I let the kids stop by and see him in their costumes too. Fun times and special memories.

Carving Pumpkins

We carved the pumpkins tonight. Each kid picked out their face- we picked out Eli's. He is so happy so we gave him a happy face. See...Carving Paige's first- she picked a sad face so we all made a sad face.All done-Sandwich Eli kiss-

Greg's BD Party

Tonight was our friends birthday party and since it's so close to Halloween the kids wore costumes. I skipped Eber's costume because it's quite warm and I wanted him to be comfortable, but he was still festive in his glow-n-the-dark pj's. Paige wore one of Jessie's old Ballet recital outfits and was a beautiful ballerina.Jacob was Captain Hook. I wish we had the hat with the big feather, but he still looked great.Eli put his arm around Jacob for the picture...so sweet.Jessie was so proud of Paige and another guest, Brooke, who were both wearing her old outfits. Jessie was an iPhone.Super fun night. Happy (early) Birthday, Greg!!

Halloween Party

Our Friends had a Halloween party tonight and it was very fun. Jacob has about 6 costume options (because of Daniel and Connor's fabulous hand-me-downs) and for this party he choose Venom Spider Man. Poor Eli was very afraid of him in the mask.Paige is Rapunzel and the Party Hostess Tennasyn was too. Paige was holding a toy lizard for Pascal- Rapunzel's pet.And Eber is a Puppy this year! So appropriate because he loves dogs so much.Paige and her friend Kallie- Bat Girl.Evan- Bat Man, Jacob, and the other host Cole- the good Spider Man.I could eat him up!Another guest had their Angry Bird costume set aside and Jacob tried it on- SO Cool! He would love to be an Angry Bird character but I am making him stick with one of the 6 we already have.
