Fussy Friday

Jacob took terrible naps on Friday. He usually sleeps almost 2 hours in the morning and an hour in the afternoon, but yesterday he got 40 and 30 minutes! Crazy! So, I gave him his bath early to let him play in the tub. He loves the bath. Look at his tiny tush! He is built more like Travis too- long torso. His legs look tiny compared to how long his torso is.

Friday was my brothers birthday- Happy 9th Connor. Jacob wore one of Uncle Connor's old outfits that he wore when he was a baby and it looks so cute.

He is just like his daddy- loves to read!

Now he was very tried so all he wanted to do was read. When we finished he would crawl over to other book and cry until I read them again. Don't be fooled by the lip we read a lot and I read to him more after I took pictures.

Busy Doggies

Jacob- who is in a cat family- like dogs! He has 3 favorite books and one of them is Busy Doggies- here is a video of me reading it to him as he turns the pages.

He doesn't like to sit in his seat to watch videos anymore. He prefers to be up close.

Papaw's Visit

Papaw came to see us on his way through-

We only got a night and a morning with him but it was great! We just wish he could have stayed longer.

We went to our favorite breakfast spot- U.S. Egg- Yummy!

Banana Bites

Travis was eating a banana the other day and Jacob was very interested in it. So we offered him some very small pieces-he still has no teeth. It was so funny watching him try to pick up the pieces. Then I put some in his mouth and it was so funny. He likes his Gerber bananas but not the real thing! He literally shuttered at them.

First Haircut

Jacob got his first haircut today. We went to "Cool Cuts"- what a fun place for kids to get haircuts at.

He got to ride in a nice car and watch Baby Einstein the whole time.

He kept looking at the girl and reaching for me, he didn't understand what she was doing.

So he took her comb away from her. She gave him a bigger one to hold and took hers back.

We distracted him with a comb, the bag, coupons, anything that would help him from looking at her.

All done! He started clapping when we finished. (His other hand is under the smock.)

Oh- he looks even bigger now!

Over the past few days

We are good- just been busy.

Maggie got here on Monday for her spring break and it was so fun having her here.

Jacob is getting so big! He is not falling down as much. He is so cute when he drinks from his sippy cup, and he is now clapping! We love it!

Happy Birthday Maia

Last night we went to Maia's Birthday party and it was so much fun. We hadn't seen them in so long. Jedyn and Jacob were so excited to see each other and play.

Now that both boys are walking we had a race. It's hard to say who won- Jedyn touched the edge of the blanket first but Jacob touched the ground first, so it was a tie. The video of it is fun to watch- their first race.

Maia and Matt were our first friends in Arizona.

I have taken some videos of Jacob that I need to post. After the Suns game Jacob was up late so we were playing with him. Then we started chasing him and he squeals so loud, it is hysterical.
I also tried giving Jacob Chicken for lunch one day and he hated it. I gave him a few bites to see if he would get over the initial gag, but he after I stopped filming he threw up the next bite. Our boy is a vegetarian.
And lastly, he has been really clingy to me since we got back from Hawaii. If he is on the floor playing he wants me to pick him up. And when he gets up from his nap he is ready to get in my arms. Maybe it's because I left when he was sleeping???

Suns Game

Last night we took Jacob to his first NBA basketball game- Phoenix Suns vs. Detroit Pistons.

I think Steve Nash looks MUCH better with short hair!

He loved the Suns dancers! He has been clingy to me since we got back but when they were holding him he wasn't reaching for me. It's amazing how young that starts! :)

Getting sleepy-

We made sure to cover his ears during the really loud stuff, but he didn't seem scared at all. The only thing that scares him is the vacuum.

And he's out-

He took about a 40 minute nap and then we changed him and headed home. He did so good. I love his hair in this picture- it was wild.

Everybody Loves Jacob

Jacob had so much fun in San Antonio while we were gone. I think all the attention he got from his cousins, aunts, Uncle Jeff and grandparents helped him not worry about missing us.
