Big Kiss Video

Jacob has a new thing that I just L-O-V-E! If I ask for a kiss when I am not looking at him he grabs my chin to give me his kiss! It is so cute. Here is the Video.Also- I can't believe tomorrow starts December and my last month of Paige's pregnancy. I start week 36 in Tuesday and I am just now getting a little swelling in my feet if I sit for too long. With Jacob I swelled at week 30 but it was also summer, so who knows. I will post what happens at my doctor visit on Tuesday!!!

Tool Time

My parents gave Jacob my brothers old tool bench to play with . He has his first outside toy and he loves it.
I like this picture with Phoenix in the back ground. She was meowing at the door wanting to come outside too.

Daddy's Home!

We headed outside to wait for Daddy to pull up out front. He made the drive for the last time from Arizona (16 hours!) It's hard to believe that we made that drive 16 times over the past 3 and a half years. That's 8 round trip drives! I am so glad to be done with that!

I got Jacob a Corn Popper and he likes to drag it behind him. He smiled when he saw Daddy pull up. And he ran to him.
Ask for a kiss and you shall receive one!

Aunt GiGi

My sister Jamie (GiGi) came by last night to hang out and play with Jacob. Travis has been in Phoenix all week so we enjoyed the company. Jacob was in the best mood too- I hated putting him to bed because we were all having so much fun. Here he is giving bumps to GiGi.He likes to get me when I sit on the floor. He will run up behind me and throw himself on my back and push me forward, of course with a growing belly I can't go forward too far.
He loves it. Also, as you can see on the walls we didn't get a lot of painting done with Travis gone.
He got a new corn popper and was getting Jamie with it. Here is the Video.

Loves Outside

Jacob loves to go outside-He will walk up to the front door and knock then go back down to the sidewalk.
I was not able to get him to stay still for a picture. Below you can see how excited he is as he runs past me.
Here is a small view of the front of the house. We have big landscaping plans but not any time soon.

Thanksgiving 2007

We are so thankful to be back home for good! We have been so busy getting the house put together and our sweet family helped us so much today. Before all the cooking started Travis and I took advantage of family watching Jacob to get some trim painted. When we came out we found our family working away in the back yard so that Jacob could play! They are so wonderful! I wish I had a picture of just how bad our yard looked so you can see the transformation. The first picture is from Val's camera from yesterday when Abbey was helping my brother Robert clear out tree branches- you can see the leaves and some sticks. But, there was a massive amount of lumber and 4 years of leaves and sticks that filled our yard. It was terrible. What you see at Abbey's feet was everywhere when we arrived at the house. So, (back to today) we were so blessed by Val and the kids hard work. Abbey played with Jacob while Zach and Val raked and cleaned up the yard.
Jacob loves both his cousins and being outside so he was so happy!
Look at how hard they were working!
Look at the difference! It doesn't even look like the same yard. We will have to get a new swing set for the spring.
Jacob loved being pulled around by Abbey.
Of course I went out and thought it was too cold so I bundled him up in a warm blanket and hat, which he would not wear after this picture was taken.
Abbey and Jacob were cold so I brought Jacob in and bundled him up in a blanket and let him watch a video and he didn't move.
Jacob and Abbey stayed wrapped up in the blankets for the entire 30 minute video! Jacob even fell asleep for about 5 minutes- he hasn't done that in a LONG time.
Travis wanted to do a fried turkey this year- he found a good recipe and shopped and prepared it all himself. Grandma and Papaw got here this morning and Papaw and Travis worked on the turkey. It came out great too. It was so good!
After dinner everyone relaxed and slept a little in front of the TV. You can see the construction the house is still under from the picture. It's coming along so nicely though.

I was especially thankful I didn't have to cook at all this year. Travis and Papaw took care of the turkey and Val and Grandma cooked everything else in the kitchen. It was so nice! We have so much to be thankful for and we are blessed with so much more than we deserve!

Time with Family

Trav's sister Val ,and her kids Zach and Abbey, got here on Monday and are staying with us for the holiday. My brothers are Zach and Abbey's age and they all had so much fun together. Here are the boys trying to play a game of Phase 10 with Jacob's helps. I like this picture of Uncle Daniel letting Jacob play too.
Here is my 33 week picture. I started week 34 yesterday which is C-R-A-Z-Y to me. The time has flown by! I had my check up on Tuesday and they said they will start checking my cervix in two weeks! It's already that time! I am so not ready to have a baby right now, I hope she stays put for the rest of this year.
Leslie (Trav's brothers wife) came by today with the girls to see us and the house. Jacob was so good with baby Meredith. He kept kissing her. So sweet!
Playing with Meredith and Allie.
Allie and Jacob. He also kept patting Meredith's head.
Jacob and Emma.
Uncle Robert has been so helpful since we got here. Today he spent the whole day cutting back our trees and hauling lumber out of the yard from this summer when we had a tree cut down.
As you can see from the pictures the house is coming along great. We have been painting every night and are making progress. We took tonight off from painting to do cooking prep for tomorrow. Plus- Abbey is not picture in any of these pics...we WILL get some pics of her later.

Bad bump!

Jacob realized today that he can climb into the cabinets in out end tables- so cute! He was having fun with it- here is a video. I love the drama when he barely hurts his fingers. You know it's drama because at the end he really hurts his fingers and there is no mistaking how bad it hurt.
This is his new thing- he loves to roll around. It cracks us up!
Later that night I we were at my parents house and Jacob was climbing on the stairs- one of his favorite things to do. Well, he was on the bottom step with me right by my leg when he fell and went head first into the wood rail at the base. He got a colorful bump instantly. Oh- I was so upset for him. I know it hurt him so bad and the worst part is I was right there trying to keep him from getting hurt.
He wouldn't let me ice it- I think it hurt to bad to have anything up against it. Not even a cold wet rag. So, I just sat with him and let him watch a video.
We checked his eyes for dilation and interrupted his sleep to make sure he was okay and he was. It looked awful though.
My brothers got a video with my camera of us sitting together and you can see how big it is. (The boys are really silly in the video too.)

Thankfully it looks better today. The swelling went down a lot and his hair covers most of it. It is the worst feeling when your baby gets hurt- I hate it!

32 Weeks and 16 Months

We are here! All moved in and loving it. Our stuff arrived a week ago and we got so much done. The remodeling we are having done is on the finishing ends and then all we need to do is paint and get new carpet. I started my 33 week yesterday and here is my 32 week picture. Paige is active as ever. I met my new doctor and I love her. I am due on the 3rd of January and my doctor is on vacation that week returning the 4th, so I hope Miss Paige can stay put until then. The moving was slower with the pregnancy but it all got done and I am feeling good. Our baby boy turned 16 months on the 10th and he is so busy. He did really great with the move. The first weekend was rough but with Monday he was his usual flexible self. He has loved being around family and has really taken to his young uncles- they are the best with him.
I think he likes the new house. It has a fireplace that he is having fun climbing up on and then waiting for us to help him down. There is a step in the main entry way that he figured out right away and has been great with. His bathroom is getting worked on so we have been bathing him in the master shower with us which he is getting used to. It's a huge shower and he has fun being in there with us even if he isn't being washed.
His new room is letting in more light than he is used to so his naps schedule is down to one nap a day now. At first I was sad because with Paige coming, 2 naps are awesome. But he is doing good with the sleep adjustment and it's a more realistic day schedule for getting together with other friends with small children.
We still have the pacifier. I figured he has had enough change right now that he can keep it a little longer. We will see if we can pull it before Paige arrives but I am doubting it. I love these little PJ's- they are so busy, just like him. Phoenix did great with the move too. She had to fly with Travis and he said she did great. She warmed up to the house right away and is her usual self. She loves watching the squirrels out the window. We didn't have them in Arizona so she is fascinated with them.
I will put more pictures of the house up when it is all finished. No use posting a halfway job.
