Two out of Three

Two out of the three of our kids have strep throat. On top of croup, Eli is one of those...Oreos make everything better-And Jacob is the other one. Strep throat?? Other than a cough and runny nose you would never know. plus he has fluid on his ear, which explains a little bit why he isn't listening to anyone. And Paige is good...for now. I am taking bets as to whether or not she will get sick by Wednesday-her one day of school.
Let's hope she skips it completely!!!!

Croup Strikes Again!

What a night. A long night. I hate croup. Eli woke up at 11:30 with that very distinctive bark. Thankfully we were already up, catching up on American Idol with Daniel. Here was our first round of the night outside in the cool night air.He was just kinda pitiful so we let him sit with us. Paige had a bad dream and "needed" to come downstairs too. Here we are at 11:45 PM on a Saturday night.Earlier that night Daddy brought home our toy kitchen that we let a friend borrow a month ago and Paige was SO glad to have it back.
It was good to have Uncle Daniel hang out with us. We were up with Eli until 1, then he was back to bed, up at 4, 5, 6, and stayed up from 6:30 on. Thankfully it wasn't too cold and being outside did calm him down. But since we are experienced croup parents, we know we have another long night ahead of us tonight, tomorrow night, and maybe Tuesday night. I hate croup.

AZ Winter

The weather today reminded me of winter days in Arizona. Just Perfect! We played from the moment Jacob got out of school until it was past dinner time. And, in case you were wondering why Jacob is not dressed in outside clothes:it was pajama day at his school. Plus he is riding on Paige's future hot pink bike. Poor guy- so much in this picture to have to explain on his behalf.Eli walked and walked everywhere!Sand box time with big brother-I love this picture. I imagine him thinking "Okay- enough pictures of this moment, Mom."These next few are so funny. I was playing with the zoom feature on the camera and wasn't able to stop Eli before he put a cup of sand up to his face to drink it, making sand fall all over his face. Poor Baby. Sad, but the pictures are amusing. Enjoy.
Even covered in sand he is adorable!

Outside- At Last!

The weather was so nice today! It was wonderful. I still had the kids dressed warmly because I feel irresponsible if I don't, since it is still winter and all. But, it was so pretty outside. Look at this ball of sunshine, happy to be able to swing.Silly face...Really silly face...I try to keep the pacey in Eli's mouth when he is in the sand box so that he doesn't eat sand. You can tell he is my baby b/c I post every picture of him. Like you really need to see three sippy cup pictures. But here you go!He tossed the pacey and had to taste one of his toys. Yuck!

Gift Returns

Paige and Jacob received a few duplicate gifts at Christmas, and Paige had a few more from her birthday, so today we finally returned them and got some store credit. Then we walked down the toy aisles and the kids had so much fun picking out new toys. Paige ended up with some Ariel dolls and a Beauty and the Beast doll set. I don't know why she made this funny face when I asked her to smile...She is pretending to drink from Chip, the little tea cup on Beauty and the Beast. And Jacob picked out this cool James puzzle.Good Job Buddy!!Eli didn't get any new toys but he had fun in the kitchen with Mama and one of his bouncy balls. He was just laughing so hard while bouncing it to me.
I like this last action shot here. :)
