Saturday morning, December 26th, I woke up early with contractions and a need to push! Seeing how I was 1 day away from my due date, I knew this was the real thing. We called my mom and got ready. Here we are right before leaving for the hospital (between contractions) at about 7:00 am. I love this picture of Paige.

My water broke at 7:15 am, as I was stepping out of the car in front of the hospital. Perfect timing not getting it all on the car seats. 7:30, got upstairs and I was dilated to a 6 and 90% effaced and baby was low. They quickly got my IV and antibiotics for GBS going, went over admitting details and got my epidural. At 8:30 I was dilated to an 8 and fully effaced. We knew this wasn't going to take long. 9:30 the doctor came in and I was ready to go.

She left to get ready and let me be for a while. 10:07 we started- everyone ready. After the second push the doctor told me the baby's heart rate was bad and we needed to get the baby out on the next push. Thankfully she used the vacuum and the head was out. (The cord was wrapped around the neck and when I pushed it was cutting off everything on the baby.) The next thing I heard was the doctor say, "He's huge!" It was a boy!!!!!
Eli Travis is here- 10:17 am, 9 pounds, 6 ounces, 21 and 1/2 inches long! He scored a 9,9 on his apgar and is perfect! He only got 3 hours of antibiotics for the GBS (you need 4 hours) so he needed some extra blood tests, but everything ended up fine. Praise God.

We were so thrilled and in shock at how fast it all went.

The kids seeing their new baby brother. Jacob was more interested in walking around, but Sissy liked him.

He looks like Jacob with Paige's nose. He is perfect!

Day two: pretty much had skin to skin with Mommy all day so there are not many pics to show.

ET comes home!!!! Eli came home today- here we are before discharge instructions.

Getting dressed.

He looks like he is cheering because he is going home.

We are settling in and he is doing great. I will post more pics of his sweet face soon.
