Angry Birds

Jacob is a big fan of Angry Birds. He has started turning the "o" in his name into an angry bird. See... And he does this on all his papers. It's so cute.

After Three Years

After three years, Jacob's time at Baylor Our Children's House with speech therapy came to an end today. We are so proud of all his hard work and how far he has come. And we are so grateful with everyone there who has contributed to his progress through the years. It's a mixture of emotions today as this chapter in our life ends. For 3 years, every Tuesday we were healthy and in town, we were at Baylor from 9-9:30. Here he is with Ms. Rachel, who has worked with him for the last year and half- her sister Ms. Lesley started with him before she had her baby. It was special to stay in the family and we keep up with Ms. Lesley on FB. We will miss Ms. Rachel! And we will miss this waiting room. Paige started off in her infant seat when we started here!Eli, like Paige and every other kid I have seen over the years, loves this big toy box with the beads. LOVES IT!You might not think to look at it that kids would actually play with it and keep coming back to it, but they do. Eli will miss it.Here is a video of how entertained he is with it.
We took cookies for the office for the last day, and thankfully Ms. Rachel shared three with my kids since they had been asking me for one since we bought them. We cheered, gave hugs, and and said good-bye. Jacob got a certificate of completion...
All happy on this special day...Truly, words can not describe the gratitude and joy in my heart. The tears say it best. Thank You Baylor Frisco! We are forever grateful.

Quick Trip

Friday we got a surprise- Grandma and Papaw wanted to make a quick trip to see us for the weekend!! Naturally we were thrilled, especially the kids. Eli helping Grandma eat her dinner.Saturday we woke up and went to breakfast then the toy store. Papaw and Jacob spent the morning putting together a new lego creation...Ta- Da!!!!! Grandma stayed outside with Eli and Paige while Daddy started the brisket on the egg. It wasn't too hot in the shade but we still let the kids get all wet in the sprinkler.Grandma helping Paige dry off.The brisket was amazing! Probably his best one yet. Plus he made chicken on the egg (a first time) and it was also wonderful. Then it was a second showing of Phineas and Ferb the movie. SO fun!

Popsicle Morning

We spent the morning outside with the sand box, sprinkler, and Popsicles!
Then it was in the tub to get cleaned up for the rest of the day. Nice cool start to the weekend.

Paparazzi Moment

I loooove getting close up pics of my kids when they are focused on something else...Busted- I guess I was more distracting than discrete. I love Jacob's "Enough, Mom!" face.

When hot, Paint!

Too hot to do much. Too hot to even wear clothes. Jacob always has his shirt off, but lately Paige and Eli are down to their bottoms only. It's just so hot. So while we were wearing next to nothing I thought painting might be a good craft. Jacob stuck with his legos but Paige and Eli painted away. After painting it was on to another cool option...a bath!
