Meeting Jackson
This post has a history dating back to October 27th, when Katie had her baby. One month ago today, sweet Jackson arrived and we were so excited for Katie and Jarret that Karla and I couldn't resist seeing her to share in her excitement. Here we are that night with Katie:
Baby Jackson was in the nursery so we didn't get to see him that night. Then the weather changed and everyone of us got sick. Very long story short- today was the day that we all finally got to formally meet Baby Jackson! The kids have been asking about him for a month and today was the day!

I had to keep dodging Eli's attempts to grab him.
We all think he is wonderful. SO great to finally hold him.

Thanksgiving 2010
Happy Thanksgiving to all of our blog readers! We had a nice TG at home. Our holiday started off with our cousins. Emma, Allie and Meredith spent the night Wednesday night and we had so much fun. No pictures to show of it except a group picture from this morning as we all watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Allie is missing too b/c she left very early to go walk the Turkey Trot with her mom.
Jacob and Paige liked all the different balloons. Especially Buzz Lightyear & Spiderman.
The girls left and we re-arranged the living room to make room for the Christmas tree. Then it was time to start cooking and one of my best friends, Kimberly, joined us for our dinner. Such a treat to have so much time catching up!
Travis carving his famous Cajun fried turkey.
Our attempt to get a family picture...this gets harder and harder every year. This is not the final picture but a good memory of the moment.
Eli was a big fan of Kimberly. He was very happy in her arms and she seemed pretty fond of him too. He liked this game of her blowing on his hair, which we liked the faces he was making when she did. He has some classic expressions!
Then Travis set up the tree. It only took about 5 minutes. Awesome. We will fluff it and decorate it tomorrow.
We are very thankful for so many blessing in our lives. Thanks be to God!

Jamie & Andrew's Wedding
Aunt GiGi and Andy's wedding is finally here! Family on both sides came into town and it's always so good to see everyone. I didn't get enough pictures of the rehearsal dinner at Double Dave's, but here a couple:
Both Daniel and Robert are looking so much older lately.
The morning of the big day was here! Haley and Paige were so good and played so great together while the older girls all got ready. I love Haley's rollers.
And here she is!!! My little sister is getting married! They all look so beautiful and handsome!
Paige and Haley are best friends so they were having the best time ever in these "princess dresses".
Paige said that Jacob was a prince when she saw him in his tux.
The kids all walked down the aisle perfectly. They were pros.
We didn't get a family picture of us because we were all in different places since it was a big family wedding, but Travis got a Self family pic. Don't they look great!
Mommy and my handsome man-
Jacob and Uncle Robert-
We got a few extra pictures while we waited for the bride and groom to arrive at the reception. Here is Grandpa, with Robert, Daniel and Connor.
Mirror mirror on the wall...could they look more alike? Look how blue E's eye's are!!!

The itouch helped pass the time....
And here they are....
First dance....
Karla and Dylan dancing on the side lines....
Paige was admiring Grandma's pretty necklace.
Paige was glued to her Grandma most of the day.
Eli was excellent the whole day. Especially considering he hadn't napped all morning.

The beautiful bride...She was just beaming! She looked amazing.
Eli fell fast asleep after I fed him and slept about an hour at the reception. It was fabulous!
The brothers with Dad's mom Liz-
See...glued to Grandma!
Toasts before cutting the cake.
The kids couldn't get enough of the dance floor-
Having to wait while people got cake-
Dancing with Dad and Andrew's Mom-
The kids were amazing the whole day. When they got tired of dancing they played with TS3 toys.
All the single ladies for the bouquet toss-
Paige didn't catch it, but she looked so cute out there with all the eligible girls.
The garter toss-
Daniel caught it!
We all said our goodbye's. I didn't have my camera as they were leaving so I missed those pictures. I can't wait to see the photographers pictures. We had a wonderful time and are thrilled for the happy couple.
Uncle Robert came back with us and got some extra visiting with the kids. We loving seeing him!
