Sitting for pictures ~

Jacob is getting so strong. He was able to sit up straight against a pillow today for pictures without my help, and he holds his head up really well too.

Feeling Better ~

Jacob turned 7 weeks old on Monday. Over the weekend he got a little cold. He was sneezing, has clear mucus, watery eyes, and nasal congestion. He slept a lot but considering he was sick he still acted normal. He was very happy. So, we couldn't tell if it was allergies or a cold. Monday morning he woke up completely fine. You would never have know he was sick. I took him to the doctor still, just to be safe. He said it was a little cold and that newborns, especially breastfeed babies, bounce back from a cold pretty fast. Which was definitely the case for Jacob.

The fun part was they weighed him and he is up to 11.12!!! Two weeks ago he was 10.3- he's a healthy big boy.

Phoenix loves water. She loves to put her paws in it and sit on wet tub bottoms. She doesn't like being submerged but she loves a little bit. So every time I give Jacob a bath she is always right there in the tub with us.

There is a little water in the main tub she is stepping into.

Lambs Everywhere ~

As many of you already know my maiden name is Lamb. Jacob got this precious outfit for Christmas from his Aunt and Uncle Leslie and Jeff and cousins Emma and Allie last year from Gymboree and we love it. Travis laughed so hard when he saw him in it this morning. Look at how big or long his feet look in it.

It of course has a matching blanket and bib. He blends right in with the blanket on this side. Gymboree has the best blankets. Jake has two and we love them both.

Poor guy, I think he was tired of this little photo shoot I was doing.

Friday with Friends ~

Jacob has been smiling all the time for me, but last night was the first time he smiled from his crib once he saw me. He woke up hungry and when I turned on his night light and said hello to him he stopped crying and smiled! Oh...I loved it!!!!!

He is such a happy baby boy.

Today we met at the mall to go walking with our friends Maia and Jedyn. Maia and I walked almost everyday together during my last month. Jedyn was born a week and a half after Jake so poor Maia had to walk her last weeks by herself.

The boys slept the whole time. Maybe they can formally meet next time. And yes, we have matching strollers but that wasn't planned. :)

6 Weeks Old ~

Jacob is six weeks old today. He is so sweet and healthy. He sleeps great and eats all the time. Since I am pumping I can monitor how much he eats and he gets between 28 to 32 ounces a day. He was taking 5 ounces every 3-4 hours during the day but now he is wanting 6 to 7. His Pediatrician says it's fine and to let him eat as much as he wants. We can see him filling out and getting rolls, soon he will have all that cute baby fat everywhere.

Travis and I both woke up today feeling like we were coming down with a cold. I am praying Jake won't get sick. We are trying to not get in his face and kiss him but it's so hard because we always love and kiss on him. I am at least kissing the back of his head and feet, I just can't resist!

Saturday night we got together with our friends Nathan and Lisa. Nathan accepted a job promotion in Houston and they are moving Labor Day weekend. We are happy for them but completely bummed for us because we are going to miss them. Thankfully Lisa is from San Antonio so maybe we can still meet up over holidays when we are both back with family.

Lisa is coming back and staying with us for a few days after Labor Day to wrap up stuff with her work, so we will get to see her a little more.

Jacob does so well when we go out. He has never cries- he's a perfect angel.

Sad Face ~

He's A Happy Boy ~

Yesterday afternoon I got some great pictures of Jacob smiling. He was in such a happy mood. I'm so glad I was able to capture it all on film.

Playing with Jake ~

Jacob loves his Ocean Wonder Kick and Crawl. It's so cute to watch his eyes focus in on the different objects.

Hello there Precious!

After that I decided to have some fun with different hair styles. He didn't like this one- too nerdy looking. This is a pre-cry face.

Ahh, back to normal. Who said you can only play with little girls hair.

Stroller Time ~

Saturday morning we all went for an early morning walk. It rained the night before so it wasn't too hot for 7:00 am. This was Jacob's first time in the stroller and he seemed to like it.

He didn't want to wear the sunglasses though.

One Month Old!!!

One Month Old Today!

Wow time is flying by. He had his one month check up today too and he is doing great! He is up to 10.3 and is 23 inches long. He is in the 95 percentile for height and 75 percentile for weight. His weight is finally catching up.
