Halloween 2010

We had a very fun Halloween Day. First, we wished Aunt Gigi a Happy birthday, and our neighbor Greg. Then we headed to Noah and Dylan's Birthday party which was very fun. Sadly- I forgot my camera so I have no photos to show you. And then on to the main event: Trick or Treating. Jacob wore his Spiderman costume to the birthday party so for tonight he wanted to be Mr. Incredible. Paige was Alice from Wonderland (even though I think it looks like a maid's costume). And Eli was a little Peanut. The weather was fantastic! There were lots of homes participating too so we didn't have to walk too far out of the way. It was perfect.Eli is the only peanut Jacob is not allergic to. ;)This was the house we walked to every night this month- the one with the kitty cat and the big Frankenstein. We will miss not seeing them every day. Eli was so happy. The funny thing was that when he was wearing this costume at the birthday party, he was not happy about it. He hated it. Fussed and cried during the entire party over it. Thankfully he was much happier in it at home because I really wanted him to wear it.He is so cute I could just eat him!
Eli was a great sport for trick or treating. We got home around 8 and gave him a bath. While his bottle was heating up I got this cute video of Daddy playing a game with Eli over his Pacey. Then it was off to bed. All tuckered out. Look how sweet he is with his lovey Duffels. Hope your Halloween was fun too!

A Few New Favorites

Lisa took pictures of the kids a few weeks ago when she was here and I just love them! Hearts, Get ready to melt!
I love how he is holding on to his pumpkin. It looks like he is afraid someone is sneaking up to take it from him. This would be his Campaign picture if he were running for office today- Vote for Eli. ;)Here is Lisa's daughter Katelynn, who is 9 months older than Eli. He is big and she is little, but they are still a perfect pair.Favorite of Jacob-A close second...Don't be alarmed if you hear a sound of Angels singing suddenly...I hear them too when I see these pictures of Paige.THIS IS CLASSIC PAIGE!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much Lisa! We love them.

Pumpkin Faces

I drew a bunch of different pumpkin faces on paper and let the kids pick out which pumpkin face they wanted on their pumpkin. Paige chose the scary face. Judging by her scary face, I am guessing she didn't like the finished product.Jacob chose a big happy face and loves how it came out.He is making his big happy face.
We will carve the big one later this week.

10 Months Old

Can you believe it??? 10 Months. Where has the time gone? Oh, Eli...You are so wonderful. Here are the top ten things you are doing.

1) You have the most contagious smile. It lights up a room and makes people laugh at how happy you are. Plus it shows off your teeth- the only two in your mouth.2) You look more like your dad with every passing month. You seem to have his laid back personality too. A blessing to this high maintenance mom and sister. 3) You are eating everything we are, except the nuts, strawberries, eggs, chocolate, and honey. Your doctor is letting me try eggs, I just haven't yet. I am much more laid back with you in regards to eating than I was with the first two babies. You like most things, but still fall under an average eater category. You really liked last nights meatloaf, that's for sure! You finished all of yours and then your sisters.4) You are still so heavy. I am really looking forward to you walking. You are "cruising" as I like to call it- walking while holding onto furniture or push toys. Right on track with Jacob. Here is what you do most:

5) Still the biggest (literally) mama's boy. Separation anxiety is a current struggle for you right now. It breaks my heart for you, but we are working on it together.
6) You are so funny when I put you down on the grass. I haven't got a picture of it yet, but Aunt GiGi got one of you (click here). He make a face as soon as he feels the grass and holds his foot up, trying to lift as much of his body off the grass as he can. It's funny.7) You are sleeping through the night, unless you are sick. I wouldn't say you are a great sleeper, but we are finally there. You take one really good nap if time allows, other wise you still take two naps when we are out and about, running around the other kids schedules.8) We are telling you "no" more often and having to move you away from stuff you are getting into. You always look at me when I tell you no, then smile and go back to what you are doing. Still too young to understand but we are saying it anyway. It's funny to watch Jacob and Paige react to us telling you no. They get so annoyed that Eli doesn't obey whey they tell him no. I am always reminding them that he is a baby still even though he looks like a kid.

9) He loves animals, mainly cats because of Phoenix. He gets SO excited when he gets to pet her. He will shriek with joy.

10) Will Eli be a big brother one day? Will he be the baby of our family forever? That is the question we get asked the most, and we ask it to ourselves a lot as well. Eli is so fun and wonderful that of course we would take another one like him! If only it were that simple decide. Well, for now he is our sweet baby- even though he is leaving the baby phase fast. I have been careful to not be too busy to give him the same attention I gave the others. There are actually more pictures of him at every stage than there were of the other two. And, as you saw up above, we still try to give him our attention as much as we can. We love, love, love him so much. Our wonderful baby boy.

The Gun Show

Get your tickets...we are showing our guns around here. No seriously- holding my heavy E baby has paid off for my arms. I have some impressive muscles for the first time in my life. As you can imagine, holding an almost 30 pound baby will help scrawny arm syndrome. I guess I have been flexing more recently because my impressionable two are flexing too! Check out these cute guns:He looks extra tough in the Under Armor shirt, I agree.

Funny! He doesn't look sick!

Sweet E was off last night. He cried out and interrupted our Thursday night Young Marrieds group, but was happy as could be as long as he was awake. It was a long night of just not sleeping well, then this morning a 99 temp- but over all a very happy boy. I suspected ear problems and made an appointment. Ears were perfect. But the throat- covered in ulcers. Hand Foot & Mouth disease- which explains his fever and smaller appetite too. Thankfully no prescriptions needed for this virus. Just fluids, Motrin for pain, and understanding that he might not feel well. Might being the key word here. Does this look like a kid with ulcers in his throat???Scaling the furniture...
We'll see how he does the rest of the weekend! (Oh, and he weighed in at 27.6. He's losing sleep but not weight.)
