He's Walking!!!!

I couldn't believe it, today he just started taking steps! I am so excited. He is 10 and a half months now so I guess by his birthday he will be a pro. Thankfully I remembered the video camera and he walked again for it. Here are the two videos-

Birthday Weekend

Sunday was my 29th Birthday- my last year in my twenties. It was a good day but I drag my birthday out until June 1st- Trav's birthday. We are all wearing our Old Navy shirts, Jacob too, since it's also Memorial Day weekend.

Trav's Parents came out for the weekend to see us. We always love their visits. Here we are at a favorite breakfast spot- U.S. Egg. We went there twice this weekend.

I got many gifts for my birthday but my favorite one was a sweet nap with Jacob. He NEVER naps with us so this was a rare treat. I loved it! He also said "Mama" once for the first time too. And "Baba" which is big because he has only ever said Dada and now he is using the M and B letters.

Look at his crazy bed head hair in the mornings- it's so cute!

He had his first Cup Cake on Friday, he liked it.

He didn't eat a lot of it though.

I love his hair and face in this picture.

We also got him a giant dog on Saturday- His name is Darby and he is so soft and cute. Jacob climbs all over him.

Dada's Boy

Jacob has always been a Dada fan, but this weekend I felt replaced! Travis was out of town so Jacob only saw him on Monday and then not again until Friday night. And let me tell you, he missed him! He actually reached for Dada when I was holding him this weekend- which never happens, and he even preferred Dada when he was crying- which really NEVER happens! Here is a funny video from this morning of Jacob laughing with Dada.

Playing with Cars

Jacob loves to play with his toy cars. It's so cute to watch him push them around.

This one is funny- I guess all that pushing wore him out and he needed to rest a minute.

waking up from a nap

Jacob is so fun to go get after he sleeps. He grins so big and is always happy to see us. Playing peek-a-boo with him.

Driver's Seat

Jacob loves to sit in the driver's seat.

10 Months

Jacob is 10 months old today. The time is flying by so fast. We have the most fun with him! I love his hair when it is spikey.
This is his new thing- he realized he can shut his door but then can't get it open. It's a fun game.

He is walking really well holding something. Today he only held one of my hands and walked next to me.

Just like his daddy he loves his Rudy's BBQ cups!

He gets so excited to see daddy everyday. He practically jumps out of my arms to get to over to him when he sees him.

He like to scream with joy all the time. "Happy Screams" as my mom calls them- we call it his Indian War Cry. It's really funny to hear. The night after we babysat for Jedyn, Maia called me the next day to ask if knew anything about this random scream Jedyn started doing after being with Jacob. Jedyn picked up on the happy scream from Jake. Haha.

He waves a lot too, it's really sweet.

Jacob is very busy. But no matter how much fun he is having if I go stand next to him he will turn and reach up my legs for me to hold him. He is very much a Mama's boy and I love it. He is such a joy and we thank God for him everyday!

Sunday Swing

Every Sunday night we go for a walk and go to the park to swing.

Jacob loves to swing!

Sometimes he is great about wearing hats but he didn't feel like keeping it on today.

Spikey Hair

Jacob has great hair! Every night after his bath we spike it and it looks so cute. It's getting long again. We just had it cut on March 23.

Wagon ride

I took Jacob out front yesterday to pull him in his wagon. It was pretty hot and sunny so we headed back in after 5 minutes.

I'm glad we came home when we did because when I lifted Jacob out of the wagon there was a big spider in it with him! Eek! It's dead now and thankfully Jacob didn't get bitten.

He is doing so good with eating too considering he still has no teeth! I took a video of him eating Chicken bites last night.

Double the fun

Matt and Maia had Suns/Laker tickets so we watched Jedyn last night and it was so much fun! The boys love each other and had fun playing. Jacob is used to us wrestling with him because he kept trying to climb over Jedyn.

Jacob is very affectionate. He loves to give kisses so naturally he wanted to give his friend a kiss...

but Jedyn moved at the last minute.

Jacob liked his toys so much more when Jedyn was playing with him.

...but Jedyn blocked. Poor Jake didn't understand why Jedyn didn't want one of his wet sloppy kisses. I went over to him and he grabbed me and kissed me. I'll take them any day! :)

The letter magnets are always fun!

They do a great job of sharing...for now. I know one day it will be a little harder.

They are so fun together. Phoenix watched from a distance and I thought if she could talk she would probably have said, "Oh great- there's two of them!"

Jacob goes to bed before Jedyn so we had some fun one on one time with him before his bedtime. He is a doll! We just love his precious personality. His whole face lights up when he smiles.
