Jedyn's Birthday Party

Today was a fun day for Jacob. First we sorta re-did his room: rearranged some pieces of furniture and took out the toys he never played with to make room for all his new stuff. Well, I moved the clothes from his changing table baskets to the dresser and put toys in the baskets and put them under the crib. Jacob found it and spent 20 straight minutes in the baskets! Go figure- I went to get my camera and he made this big happy face, he is so funny!
See- it's more fun to play with the toys in the basket.
Later tonight we went to Jedyn's first birthday party!
Jedyn turned 1 on the 21st (he and Jacob are 11 days apart) but lucky for us they were out of town too so they had his party this weekend.
Jacob was actually coming up behind Jedyn to give him a kiss but it looks a little more aggressive. He likes balloons!
I love this photo and the following two- Jacob found the Baby Einstein Case...Looks like something he would like to watch...
So he does what he sees mom do, he goes to the dvd machine and pushes a few buttons...
then moves up to the tv to turn it on and that should be it. It is so funny how he observes everything and then repeats it later.
Checking out Jedyn's gifts.
Look how cute the decorations were! There were "1's" everywhere.
Blowing bubbles in the back yard.
With Dada-
This picture above and the next are classic! Jacob is very stubborn. He is not the kind of child you can distract easily when you don't want him to have something or go somewhere. Well, he wanted to climb the steps by the pool and Daddy wouldn't let him and above is his reaction. Below in the close up. So funny!
So he cries, everyone asks what happened and while we are talking he thinks he can slip back over.
But no, Daddy stopped him again. And again he is melting down while Jedyn plays happily in the yard.

Finally Jacob moves on and plays with his buddy.
It is so hard to get two busy boys to sit still for a picture.
Mommy with a tired boy.
Happy Birthday Jedyn- We love you!
I love this picture of Maia opening Jedyn's gifts and Jedyn trying to get the new pool shoes apart (they were connected) while he is wearing one and a bow taped to his head that he is not aware of. So cute!

The latest...

Jacob had his one year check up this week. He is great and doing everything he should be doing.
He weighed 22 pounds and 11 ounces (40%) and is 30 and a half inches tall (75%) with his head measuring 18 and a half inches (75%). He had to get 2 shots that made him cry really hard. He should have gotten 3 but they were out of the chicken pox vac. It's always so sad when he get shots. He will cry so hard then start to calm down then re-live it all again. It breaks my heart for him. I thought this was cute...a new place to play.
I had my doctors appointment too- baby is great. I am feeling movement often and I am finally feeling good too. My appetite is big and I go to bed early but the rest of the time I am feeling great. We are schedule to have our sonogram to find out boy or girl on Aug. 13th! Travis thinks it's a boy and I think it's a girl. Either way we are thrilled- we just want a healthy baby. On my friends blog she talked about the Ancient Chinese Gender Chart predictions for the sex of the baby, so for fun I checked them out. I first entered Jacob's info to see how accurate they were and out of the 4 sites I went to two said boy the other two said girl. So only two were right with Jacob which proves this is all a fun game. So next I entered the info for this baby and all four said girl. I think it's funny. We think they are silly but it was fun to check. Here they are if you want to check your pregnancy: first, second, third, and forth.
Here is a picture from Monday night- I am now in my 17th week.

12 Months of Jacob

Our baby is a year! It sure does go by fast. As my eyes water and my throat gets thicker after doing this 12 month tribute to our wonderful boy I wonder how I am going to be holding it together when I see him turn 18, and I have even more wonderful memories of his childhood to choose from? We have had the best 12 months ever with Jacob and thank God for every second with him. We can not imagine our lives without him!

Texas Trip

We had a wonderful time in Texas with Family. Our first stop was San Antonio to see the newest Wood addition- Meredith Ann, born July 2nd. Here are all the Wood cousins- Jacob got his first pair of shoes, tennis shoes and sandals, and they are so cute!
He walks great in them.
Again with Baby Meredith-
He kept wanting to grab her.
Sitting in a little rocker for a video.
We took the kids to the Alamo-

It's so hard to get a family photo with a busy boy!

July 10th- Jacob's 1st birthday!!!! We opened presents first-
He had never opened gifts before so he didn't really know what to do, but he caught on fast. He would focus on the littlest piece sometimes.

Travis with his new toy too- a PS3.
Later that night we had Rudy's BBQ and cake.

As you can see he liked it. Cleaning up was the big part!
Family photo takes one and two. (He didn't like the birthday hat!)
Going for a walk around the block with Daddy-
He started making this frowning face and it is so funny. Here he is giving a look to Abbey, who knows what she did to deserve it-most likely nothing!
Playing with his ball bopper, it is so fun!
We got breakfast with Nathan and Lisa before heading to Dallas. They are also pregnant and due 2 weeks before us with their first!
Another birthday party in Dallas- Jacob is so lucky to have two parties!!!!
Another messy but proud Birthday Boy!
We turned his seat in the car and we love being able to see him! Here the drool is hanging off his bottom lip- so cute!
We got lunch with Jonathan and Allison who are 29 weeks into their pregnancy too-
Jacob loves screaming for fun and eating mac and cheese. It was everywhere!
Cleaning up in the sink!
And now we are home again! We had a blast!
