It was a much anticipated Halloween this year since the kids were so excited about their costumes. Jacob was Buzz Lightyear and Paige was Cinderella, and they both looked adorable if I do say so myself. It was a great Halloween day. The weather was perfect and Grandma and Papaw even came into town for the weekend to be with us. We had a blast!I love this picture, but could they be anymore serious???Getting our glow-sticks so everyone can see us in the dark. And we are ready! This big pumpkin has been on our street all month and the kids have loved seeing it. During the day it is deflated and the kids will drive by and say, "Pumpkin sleeping". We will miss this big guy.Love those blue eyes with her blue dress.Afterwards, the first thing Paige wanted was a lolly pop. She ate half then had some m&m's. Surprisingly, Jacob didn't want any candy. Instead he wanted to watch new Thomas videos Grandma brought. A special thank you to Grandma for letting Jacob wear the Buzz costume that both Uncle Daniel and Uncle Connor wore. And to Aunt Leslie for letting Paige wear the Cinderella dress that Allie wore. The kids looked perfect and loved every minute in them.
I broke down and actually bought a sugary and non-nutritious cereal for Jacob for breakfast. Why?? Because Jacob has to work at feeding himself and the child simply doesn't like meal times. He has the worlds smallest appetite and could easily live off one meal a day and milk. He usually likes waffles (which are just as sugary and not healthy) or he would prefer to skip breakfast altogether. So I bought Lucky Charms to see if that would help him show an interest in sitting down and feeding himself without me telling him to take each and every bite. And...it worked like a charm! I love this picture! I caught him by surprise. I am just bummed it came out blurry. Paige liked them too. They are magically delicious!
Before Aunt Leslie and the girls got back on the road, we got some extra time and breakfast with them. Uncle Trav with Mere Mere.Allie and Paige were thick as thieves the whole time they were together this weekend.Emma and Jacob. I love this sweet picture.Allie helping Jacob with his ABC puzzle. It's cute how they are both too focused on the puzzle to look at the camera with their eyes. They only lifted their faces. And Emma figured out the purpose of this great coin toy we got as a hand me down fro a friend. My kids love to play with it but I never really knew what it was supposed to do. Turns out it's a bingo game. Emma is so smart to figure that out. We will see them again at Thanksgiving.
Baby # 3: Tomorrow I will be 31 weeks, trucking along. Baby is sideways right now and tickling me on both hip bones. Travis and the kids are able to watch my belly change shapes when the baby is moving around.Baby #2: My love bug. She melts my heart. I keep telling her a baby is coming and all the things she can do with the baby once he/she arrives. I will be curious to see how she reacts to the baby taking up almost all of my time. And Baby #1: My big baby boy who also melts my heart every time he speaks. He has started to show an interest in this pregnancy too which is new. Now if I ask him if he wants to feel the baby move he will put his hand on my belly. I don't think he understands that the movements he feels are a baby under my skin, but I am glad he is participating.
This week was so cold and rainy, perfect for staying inside. Today though, after a wonderful morning at the arboretum with cousins (still kicking myself for forgetting my camera and so I am waiting on others pictures to post), we got out in our back yard and soaked up the warm sunny weather. We started off the day in cool weather clothes, but had to shed those because it was so warm in the sun.I love it when Jacob helps Travis with the yard work. It is so cute.Paige admiring Jacob's garden stone with his baby foot prints. We have one for her too, but it's still in San Antonio with Grandma and Papaw. They will bring it up soon to add to the flower bed.It was so bright that Sissy needed her sun glasses. What an outfit Miss Priss!Paige found a caterpillar and the kids were very concerned that it was hurt. Look at Jacob's sweet face! They are both very compassionate which Travis and I are very thankful for. The caterpillar was all rolled up and not moving. I had to move it to a safer spot before it finally showed it was fine again.Sissy concerned too. This might be my new favorite of Paige all because of the outfit. This is my new favorite video. It starts off with the kids inquiring about the caterpillar they were so concerned about and ends with Jacob showing off his "emotions" he has been learning at school. Hilarious! And lastly, helping daddy finish up the lawn work. It was a great day. I will post the arboretum pictures we got with Aunt Leslie, Emma, Allie, Mere Mere, and Leslie's mom when I get them.
