Memorial Day Weekend 2011
We had a great BD/Memorial Day weekend. Saturday Paige and I went to Jessie's ballet recital. It was so fun and brought back so many memories of the years I spent doing ballet. Paige L-O-V-E-D it and is looking forward to taking ballet in the fall.
We got back and went swimming!!! It was the first swim of the summer and we were anxious to show daddy all Jacob and Paige have learned from their swim lessons. Eber loved the water too.

The kids were in heaven- jumping in, swimming to Daddy or the steps, doing all over and over again.
Jacob going out to daddy-
All Eli needed was a ball to complete his pool experience.
Saturday night we went to a friends daughter's Bat Mitzvah and had a wonderful time. More on that below. We got all dressed up but sadly we don't have a good picture to show for it. Sunday morning we stayed home and enjoyed the morning outside while Travis started his brisket on the egg. It was perfect weather! Jacob was still in his pj's.
The next few are the many frowning faces of Eli. He is a very expressive child. Love the hair in the breeze and he is frowning at something.
The frown turning into a smile for his Mama.
I pulled the pacifier for this picture and so he is frowning at that.
Playing with Paige who was playing for a good while with the low hanging tree branch of all things.
She got it!
Eli is protesting something by having a mini fit on the ground.
Maybe a picture with Mama would cheer him up???
Jacob got this of us. :)
While this looks fun for them, it make us very nervous. We always invision Eli getting hurt.

Then Jacob started to pout about something so Daddy was being silly with him and making him pose for a picture. Jacob is trying not to laugh or smile but couldn't resist.
Another Eli mad face because the car was too close to the wall and he couldn't get out. He was very loud in his complaint about it.
I can almost hear him think "Finally!"
Love these next few pics:
Travis is so funny. The Bat Mitzvah we went to the night before was so much fun and watching Hayley with all her friends was like looking into the future of what we have in store with Paige when she is that age. The girls were having so much fun. It was SO awesome that Travis went home with grand plans to throw Paige a hugh lavish party for her 13th birthday too. Okay, Babe! What can I say- he loves his girl.
It would be fun. But we will see.
After lunch Paige and I went to take a meal to a family and on the way we picked up so awesome cookies Jill made for me for my BD. Check this out: When I make cookies I put them in like a ziplock bag. Jill though- Miss Martha Stewart- Not only are they organic homemade oatmeal chocolate chip cookies (my favorite) but they are also gift wrapped in these little boxes (there were three but Paige and I finished the first box on the way home) and then wrapped beautifully in a a pretty gift bag! Come On!! Loved them, Jill.
After nap we went back to the pool. Eber is ready with his ball-
I let the kids have thier goggles this time.
Here she goes-
to the steps.

Then it was back home for a brisket dinner Travis smoked out on the egg. The kids had helped with it and were his big helpers.
So proud!
Look how cute Jacob's face is when Travis opened up the foil! He was saying wow.
11 pounds of mouth watering brisket. It was fabulous!
Paige helped with buttering the corn on the cob.
Then Monday morning we took it easy. We let Daddy sleep in and then Daddy took the kids to see Kung Fu Panda 2 in theater. I love Jacob's new shirt. It says it all.
