As the Week Went By

The cold weather came back. Boo!! At least Eber is feeling better. He hates taking his antibiotic though, that's for sure. With E being sick and the weather being cold, we have only gone out when we needed to and then came back home. And so, here are some picture to show for it. We got our Easter buckets and some eggs- only a month away. Love this picture. I don't remember what they were watching but I think it is so cute how they are with their Daddy.Look at this little climbing devil. The table was moved shortly after he did this, but not before I grabbed my camera and got pictures of my oh-so-proud-of-himself-boy.Offering me the ball. SO cute. And Paige- sliced pickles and painting. And her typical pose- winking....or...gasping. She is such a clown.

Sickness Revised

Turns out Eli might not have pink eye. After two days on the eye ointment, his eyes looked worse last night. So, we called the doctor Sunday night since he woke up fussy and one eye was swelling. She had us do Children's Benadryl and Motrin and asked me to come in at 9 because she would squeeze Eli in before all her other apts. (We love our Doctor!) Sure enough, he woke up with non-swollen eyes and not even that red. Took him in, and the ears were full of puss. She said that it is common when kids under two have bad ears for the fluid to back up the eyes. Then she looked in his throat- even worse than the ears. So swollen and nasty. She said the throat was backing up fluid on the ears, which was backing up the eyes. Poor baby. His head is basically sick and infected. Strep test will come back in a few days, in office one was negative. Poor buddy was very grouchy and now we know why.

Fifteen Months & Check Up

Sweet Eli is 15 months old! And, poor baby has double pink eye. He woke up with it Friday morning and so far only he has it. We are doing an eye ointment instead of drops. He still got his 2 shots and he is doing good. His stats: head: 20 inches (off the chart), height: 32 & 3/4 (95%), and weight: 29 lbs (95%). He is back on the charts for height and weight. All that running around and climbing is having a slimming effect on him. But he is still big and is a ton of love. The world of Eli-Here is what happens in the sweet and wonderful world of Eber. Wakes up around 7:20 since the time change. Sometimes we will hear him in his bed talking and playing before 7 but he is content or falls back to sleep. He loves his interactive green dog named Scout that talks and sings songs (by Leap Frog). Scout stays in his bed and Eber loves it. He is still fond of Duffles but Scout is moving up in the ranks fast. Eber is so happy to see everyone, but whoever gets him out of bed is his person for the morning. If Daddy gets him up then he might not go to me when he sees me. It's funny. He always has a smile for Jacob and Paige. He naps about 2 hours now. And he is bed bound by 7:30. He turns into a bit of an ogre during meals. He wants food and he wants it right now. He screams in his chair while I move as fast as I can considering I just woke up too. He double fists the food in his mouth and will finish things in record time. A hand full of blueberries- gone in 60 seconds. A waffle cut up- gone in 120 seconds. A handful of dry cereal on his tray- gone in 2 minutes. We have to offer what we think he needs and then cut him off because he will just never stop. He is still taking miralax in his water daily, and was doing dark Karo too, but Dr. wants us to stop the Karo and double the miralax. Yes- he needs it!!! He is a picky eater- likes most every fruit, crackers and cereals, turkey dogs, pasta, yogurt and cottage cheese. And that's about it. We hope he will get better about vegetables soon. For now he just throws them on the floor. He is very smart (bias, I know). He says- mama, dada, ball, bye, more, dog, duck and uh-oh. He shakes his head no. And he can do 4 animal sounds- dog, cat, elephant and snake. He used to do a wolf but hasn't been able to recall it for a while. He follows some two step commands. and he will bring us our stuff all the time. Ex: I will tell the kids to get their shoes and Eli will go to the shoe box and bring me my shoes or bring me his shoes, or bring Jacob his shoes. Another Ex: I will ask Eber to go to Daddy and Daddy will give him something to then bring to me, and he does it. He has some favorite books and will bring them to you and sit in your lap. He also, he waves all the time. He is still a big boy. Still wearing a size five diaper. He is wearing clothes that Jacob wore when he was 2 and a half. 2T- 3T stuff. He is a big baby man. His foot is a 5.5 and he still loves to wear his shoes. He climbs everywhere. He loves any and all types of ball. He is a ball fan. He loves his Baby Noah video. He loves to go outside. He loves Jessie's trampoline. He LOVES DOGS!!!! His favorite people outside of us are: Grandma, Daniel, Connor, & Jessie. He will leave my arms and reach for them. That's big time. He is our baby. Yes, our final baby. Unless God pulls a big surprise on us, he is our completed work. My life long baby. I am so tickled with every little thing he does. Even when he is doing something wrong I have to keep from smiling as I tell him no because he is so dang adorable. I am wrapped around his chubby little finger.

The Week Highlights

After all those spring break posts, I decided to take a few days off from posting. But I still took pictures, and here they are:
Saturday was Angela's Baby shower. It was so fun to see her and catch up with friends. Angela looks so beautiful too.More Jumping on the trampoline.Eli looks little for once...It's hard to see, but Eber is wearing a diaper. He loves his Baby Noah time.Paige's new outfit. This is why I love Gymboree.Jacob is getting so big. Lately I have been thinking ahead to the fall when he will start kindergarten and I get all teary. I don't know what I am going to do!?!?!Love Eber's face here:Jacob came down all dressed up in his hat, tie, and Scooby slippers.Paige wanted her doll with her at dinner.Wednesday Eli got a bad boo boo. He was on my hip and as I was coming in the doorway I tripped and fell into the doorway causing him to crash into the door frame! It was bad. It's hard to see the bump, but it's there.New bath letters-We have started to take the stair gate down and Eli is doing really well with it. But every now and then he dashes for the stairs and is so proud to get to the landing before I get him. :)And big boy finally out grew his car seat. His shoulders went past the straps. We love the seat Paige has so we got Eber the newer and improved one and he looks so big in it too. He is on the same setting Paige is on, meaning we have already had to move the straps up. He is so big!L-O-V-E this picture. Eli is annoyed and Paige is posing with him. Classic kid pic of my two: the clown and the crier.Paige was itching for Eli to get up so she could try out the new car seat. She is smiling so big here, I am bummed her hair fell in the way.

Spring Break: Friday

Well, we saved the best for last. Today was so fun. Daddy took the day off from work so no matter what we plan for today it will be perfect. First we had a play date with Fabrice. Look at these cute boys. Then on to lunch at Paige's favorite place: Jason's Deli. They love the little ginger muffins. I love Paige's wink.Precious!Love it.Paige was sharing her ice cream...I love this one: Daddy is feeding Eli and Paige is feeding Daddy. Then we dropped Daddy and Eber off at home for nap time and I headed to the mall for shoe shopping with the kids. Jacob's foot has not grown all year! Crazy to me. Paige is on her third new pair since August because she has the fastest growing foot ever. The kids played and played. It is so much nicer without a baby to be watching in the mall play area. I was actually able to sit and enjoy watching Jacob and Paige play, and I was fully entertained. Jacob played with this boy who was younger than Paige the whole time and his parents came up to me and complemented how sweet Jacob was to their son when it was obvious Jacob was at least 2 years older than this boy. I was so proud of Jacob. We got home to find Eber still asleep and Daddy putting together Jacob's new bike. Paige is modeling her new spring/summer sandals. It's ready!!!Jacob loves it.Then we played upstairs when Eli woke up. Look at his big baby body.Sitting on Mommy's feet:Eli was feeling protective of me when the kids were sitting on my feet so he sat right on my tummy to read his book. Meanwhile, Jacob and Paige are fighting over who's turn it is to sit on Mommy's feet.Eber's turn.
Then Grandma came over to babysit so we could go out for a group date night with our Community Group. Always a rare treat. Plus, we got a group picture!
